Dear All:
In 7 hours later Jeannie and I will take the mid-night flight from LAX to Bali, Indonesia by way of Taipei.
We thank God for the opportunity to attend the 8th CCOWE conference and serve as interpreter for the morning bible study speaker, Dr. Christopher Wright. Jonathan covet your prayers that he can understand the message and find the right words to pass on to the Chinese speaking audience. We will also meet many old friends and coworkers as well as some of CMI's missionaries. Do pray for Rev. Morley lee specially as he will step down and pass on the baton to Rev. Joshua Tan as CCCOWE's general secretary.
After the conference, CCCOWE arranges some of us to visit different cities to hold special meeting for CCOWE movement. Jonathan was assigned the city of Bandung which we visited 9 years ago. Its good to be there to meet with the churches and friends.
We will go to Hong kong and celebrate the 100th birthday of Jeannie's 3rd aunt from her father's side on 9/22 then go to Taipei.
Jeannie is going to have her birthday there on 10/2 and Jonathan will meet with CMI/TPE board members to share with them CMI's field needs and opportunities. Jonathan will also officiate our God-son's wedding on 10/10. The time in TPE will be happy, busy and fun.
While excited about the upcoming trip, we appreciate your prayers for Jeannie as she is having difficulty moving around. We ordered wheel chair service for her but the long hours in the air will be very tough for her. Thanks. God bless you all.
